Fisher-Price My Little Snugabunny Cradle 'n Swing

Monday, February 20, 2012
Baby J has slept in the Fisher-Price My Little Snugabunny Cradle 'n Swing since he was a newborn. I try not to rely too much on the swing, but its been a really good tool for getting him to sleep sometimes. We started out putting him in the bassinet, but it resulted in lots of spitting up. This cradle swing puts him at a little incline to combat the reflux that many babies often have. Plus it has nice music and white noise and a cute mobile.

This thing has been priceless. For the past two years, Baby J has slept in this. In the later stages, just for naps. But he has finally grown out of it in the past couple of months. He still likes the cuddly snuggliness of it, but since he can now shimmy out of it, we are done with it. He now mostly sleeps in the car for naps, because he likes the cradling of the carseat. Other than that, he sleeps with me and his 4yo sister in the bed.

But alas, we are not able to pass this on. Since we broke the electronic swinging long ago, it would not be a good gift for anyone. I hate to just throw it out because it has been such a useful piece of equipment. But its time to let it go. Goodbye Snugabunny Swing!

He's almost 8 months old and still sleeps in this during naps and the first few hours of the night. I still have to swaddle him in it. I just put the strap through the hole in the swaddle and it keeps him secure.

I broke this swing though. He likes it to swing a little (actually a lot) faster than it does electronically. So I swing him really fast (short but fast swings) to get him to fall asleep. Then I just let it swing normally on high speed. With his weight being almost 18 pounds, he needs the highest speed otherwise it doesn't really swing much.

Anyway, so I broke it so that it doesn't click to change swinging direction anymore. Which is not a problem because I never really changed the direction. He just always swings horizontally, as opposed to vertically.
