Rivertide Suites
We stayed at Rivertide Suites. It was a great hotel with all the amenities: full kitchen, nice big bathroom with jetted tub, king size bed, balcony, etc. It had a nice view of the river and was just a few blocks from the beach. The price was pretty reasonable in February.

Seaside Aquarium
Right on the beach, there is a nice little aquarium. The best part was feeding the seals. You can buy the seal food there, and the seals just love it. They flap their flippers to get you to throw food at them. They are huge and splash a lot, so be ready to get a little wet. Our baby enjoyed watching the seals, and I just covered her face when I saw some big splashes coming.
They also had many tanks with local fish, crab, shrimp, lobsters, etc. That way you can get a glimpse of what is in the local waters. I'm not fond of touching sea creatures, but they had a special pond where kids (or adults) can touch sea urchins, sea cumbers, etc.
And of course, there was a little gift shop where you can buy aquarium trinkets. We bought a little sea star rattle for Baby.
