Quilt Kit
I made this quilt starting with a quilt kit that I bought from Jo-Ann's Fabric and Crafts. I used all the fabric the kit came with. But I added some extra embellishments.
Embroidery
 My husband machine-embroidered the name on the quilt.
Applique
 I sewed on a furry doggy Fablique.
Binding
 I used a satin binding because babies love to feel satin-edged blankets.
Stippling
I used a doggy stipple pattern from Embroidery Libraray.
Quilting
 I quilted around the dog prints on the fabric to give them a puffy look and stand out more. It was a subtle effect that you can only tell by looking at it live, but it gave interest to the otherwise flat puppy print.
